The Walker Homestead is designed around an historic saltbox home that was built by the Walker family in 1698, possibly the oldest standing home in Brookfield. I first had the pleasure of visiting this primitive oasis at their grand opening on June 13th, 2009

Last fall the APP gang were honored to be asked to serve as the booth judges. There was so much eye candy. Here are just a few of the pics Margo and I took that day….

And this Saturday, there is sure to be just as much eye candy as as Walker Homestead hosts another Simple Treasures from the Past Show.

APP won’t be there on Saturday on an official basis but I will be there helping Lana Testa in her Winterberry Primitives booth and several shops that carry our magazine will be there with their booths as well.  To see a list of vendors and for more information you can click ~HERE~!

If you are in the area or can make the trip, this is a must see event!!  I hope to see you there!!

It’s beary good day….

..when these little bears show up on doorsteps  all over the USA ! The APP staff have been receiving their bears as a special surprise gift from Kristine and we are all so excited to share her with you.

Isn’t she sweet? She just can’t bear to part with her summer issue of APP! She is the fourth in the series of very special handcrafted dolls designed and exclusively made just for APP by Lana Testa of Winterberry Primitives. Our collectors series summer patriotic bear is tattered and aged perfectly. She wears an aged patriotic cap and red scarf and stands 14 inches with jointed limbs, making her perfect for posing!  She will be a wonderful addition to anyone’s summer or patriotic décor and a must for bear collectors!

To order your very own bear or any of the past series of dolls, you can click ~HERE~ for all the information.

To visit Lana’s blog, you can click ~HERE~.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for making APP blog and magazine a part of your day!

Prim Blessings, Linda and the APP staff
