Another prim giveaway!!!

 THIS GIVEAWAY CLOSED IN APRIL. Check back the last week in May for our next giveaway!

This month we are excited and pleased to be able to present one very lucky winner with this wonderful primitive school girl style sampler – an original design of and hand stitched by our blogging friend Jen Gass from Taylors*Farmhouse*Attic.

Isn’t it sweet?? Here is a closer look…

The outside frame measures is 9 1/2" x 11 1/2'' and the inside opening is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". The frame is painted black, distressed, and stained. The sampler is stitched on even weave and is antiqued. It comes with a paper backing and is signed and dated by Jen.

Another sneak peek and some giveaway news…

Yes, it’s true!! Another sneak peek already!! This past Tuesday, Audrey and I stayed fairly local for a shoot at a wonderfully prim home. Cathy has an amazing collection of antiques and  she displays them perfectly! It was hard to narrow these down to just a handful…

And what is this I see?? AHA – the Premier Issue!! Didn’t I tell you Cathy has great taste?

It was such a pleasure to visit and shoot this home – and spend a little time getting to know Cathy.  Watch for her home is an issue later this year!!

Are you ready for another sneak peek?

Once again Audrey and I had the pleasure of visiting another gorgeous home here in New England and meeting another delightful couple.  While Audrey spent time with Tommy and Linda finding out all the wonderful details of their home, I got busy taking lots of photos! Of course I can only share some little snippets - I hope you enjoy them!

And last, but certainly not least…

After the shoot, we made a stop at a sweet prim store right down the street - Bittersweet Blessings, 465 Derry Road, Chester, NH 03036. Michelle and Barbara Stein had copies of APP right out on the counter and were delighted to learn we worked for the magazine. They graciously gave me permission  to share a few photos with you ~

After a yummy lunch at Cracker Barrel, we stopped at a wonderful antique store – Upton House Antiques, 275 King Street, Littleton, Massachusetts   01460

where we both rewarded ourselves with some small treasures.  Audrey introduced me to this great shop last fall.  Click on the store name to take a tour inside. You won’t be sorry!

Awake, Thou Wintry Earth

It has been the longest winter in history 

for all of us in North Dakota. 

We dodged a major winter storm yesterday. 

Some areas received 11" of snow. 

We ended up with about an inch. 

The snow was very pretty this morning.

I captured this photo in our backyard 

here at A Primitive Place. 

I love the contrast 

of winter and spring in this photo.
