Karen here…. My first photo shoot of the new year was clear & quite cold while I packed up my car for the short ride to an early Dutch Colonial, here in the historic Hudson Valley. I stepped inside to find the carefully renovated home sparkling with wonderful Christmas decorations! It was warm & inviting as were the homeowners Robert & Eddie & their friendly pup McDuff. There were so many special treasures that filled the home, some lovingly crafted or received as gifts, others perfectly selected antiques. I set right to work, while my hosts placed some of these treasures in just the right places. We talked about the abundance of early Dutch homes in our area, many of which Robert has had the pleasure of seeing & has a wealth of knowledge about. Before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye. What an honor & special treat to be in a home with such history! Thank you Robert & Eddie for sharing your beautiful home with me & all the readers of APP & CJ! Here are some tidbits of what I saw for you to enjoy.
Eddie made this little cardboard replica of their home for Robert as a gift.
May 2012 be happy & healthy & full of what you love!...Karen

Robert and Eddie's home is so wonderful. Love the feel of it. That door and CHRISTmas Tree are AMAZINGGGG! Could not keep my eyes off the floor(so RICH), as seen in the picture at the base of the CHRISTmas Tree with McDuff. Is it wood, tile...Totally Love it. McDuff is too precious.
