APP News

Quaint Essential in Largo, Florida held an A Primitive Place magazine signing on Sat., June 4th. A Primitive Place featured a cigar box makeover done by dealer, Donna Dixon, of Safety Harbor, Florida. (See page 88 in the summer 2011 issue) Donna represented A Primitive Place at the Quaint Essential signing. She is also known as redshedvintage on the APP forum. Donna spent the afternoon signing magazines and had several of her made-over treasures for sale. She brought in cigar boxes just like the ones that were featured in the magazine. She also brought in numerous other items such as a tea caddy box, wood trays, apothecary box, spice rack, coffee grinder and firkins, which were all for sale. Shop owner, Donna Kiehl, said that the event was a huge success!
Here are a couple pics of Donna Dixon at the Quaint Essential signing.

Next week our Midwest photographers will be traveling south to Iowa. Four homes will be photographed in Iowa for upcoming issues. We also have photoshoots scheduled in Kentucky, Illinois and Wisconsin, all being done within the next two months. We have had several people asking to see Midwestern homes. These homes will be featured next year. Be watching for some sneak peeks!
I have been hard at work completing the fall issue. It is hard to believe that it will soon be done and I will be on to the winter/holiday issue. I do have to say that the fall issue is going to be amazing! It is a big one! We have lots of surprises up our sleeves! We will be unveiling the cover the first part of July. The fall issue is scheduled to be released August 1st.
In closing, I would like to congratulate Leah Rhinesmith of Bainbridge, NY. Leah is the winner of the two pinkeeps handcrafted by Loretta Spiak that were featured in the summer issue on page 3. Congratulations, Leah!
    Here is Leah's prize!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you had a blessed day!

Best wishes,

Kristine

I was at Quaint Essentials for the signing. I bought one of Donna's firkins. The shop is a great place. One of a kind in the area. I'm lucky to have some of my items there.
