~The Bluegrass State...A Photo Shoot Sneak Peek~

Last week, I had the privilege of traveling to Gilbertsville, Kentucky to shoot the home of Rhonda and Leigh Thistlethwaite for a future issue of A Primitive Place magazine.  Their wonderful home is situated on a beautiful lake.  The home, which is a perfect mix of Colonial and primitive decor', is wonderful with awesome decks and breathtaking views of the lake.  Rhonda has some terrific pieces and collections while still maintaining a peaceful and uncluttered space.  Rhonda is also an accomplished hooked rug maker.  Her home is full of many of her fantastic creations.

As I traveled to Kentucky, the weather was beautiful.  The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect.  It was just the kind of day to spend at the lake.  This is one house that you will not want to miss seeing.  So, to wet your whistle here are a few peeks into Rhonda and Leigh's Old Kentucky Home.

If that left you wanting to see more, and I am positive that it did, keep looking for Rhonda and Leigh's home in the near future.  To make sure you do not miss this beautiful home click ~here~ to renew or order your subscription of A Primitive Place magazine.

Thank you for visiting A Primitive Place.  We appreciate you stopping by and we hope you will continue to come back as often as possible.  Don't forget to look for A Primitive Place on facebook and make sure you check back later in the week for some very exciting announcements.

"Tough girls come from New York, sweet girls they're from Georgia.  But us Kentucky girls we have fire and ice in our blood.  We can ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hooks, and drink with the boys all while making sweet tea, darlin'.  And if we have an opinion, you know you're gonna hear it."

Kristine and Dan,
Loved seeing these pics and look forward to the article in the magazine. As I look at the old blue painted plantation desk I do believe that it was the one I sold at an outdoor show I did maybe two or three years ago near Canal Winchester, OH. It is very primitive and handmade.
I remember that the lady that bought it said it was going to KY. If you are in touch with Rhonda can you ask her if this is where she bought it? If so, I am glad that the desk found a good home!
Linda
