Just another day in paradise…

What do you get when take a sunny, dry, breezy summer day with temps in the 70’s, and two friends take a road trip and they end up here…

007

…at the Cat’s Cradle, 265 Hadley St {rte 47}, South Hadley, MA 01075

010

134

..and walking around back they see sights like this…

273

182

026

271

303

103

109

356

and they are treated like this….353

340

..with a delightful lunch of broccolini slaw with poppy seed dressing…236

a hearty bread…237

pasta salad…238

rosemary roasted chicken…239

fresh fruit…241

and a fresh berry shortcake! 374

while sitting in the shade under a delightful grape arbor…

228

…at a table set with an old quilt and special dishes and family pieces…

219

224

…and then the hosts break out their special stash of an old family recipe….372

…of limoncello – but not just any limoncello - and it was creamy limoncello!  Why it was as if we were transported to a villa in Italy!

Audrey and I had the pleasure of visiting with Sandi and Wayne at their shop and home

242

and I had the pleasure of taking photos of their gorgeous gardens for a future issue of APP magazine.

Thank you Sandi and Wayne for making the day so special with the delicious lunch, your gorgeous gardens, the wonderful game boards you sent home with us and for making it

 just another day in paradise!

What It Means to Be an American!

To believe in the promise of a better tomorrow, and stand united in our efforts to give a peaceful nation to our children.
To honor each other's differences
and cherish the richness of our history,
even as it continues to unfold
from sea to shining sea.

To love deeply our friends and family, day by day,and never take for granted
the privilege of calling ourselves American.

one heart sign (2)

“America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good
with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.”

May all that America stands for
touch your heart in a special way
this 4th of July.

Prim blessings, Linda

I live in Bordentown, NJ which is a quaint little town just under one square mile small. Even though we celebrated our 325th anniversary a few years ago, we don't have any prim shops in or even near us. I drool when I look at all your pictures and am anxiously waiting for my APP subscription to arrive. Keep up the good work.
